Introducing East Greenbush chiropractor, Dr. Amy Burelson

East Greenbush chiropractor, Dr. Amy Burelson
"I was first introduced to the amazing benefits of chiropractic care through my father."

As a teen, my dad had been helped by seeing a chiropractor for his low back pain. His positive results left an impression on me, so in high school I decided to research chiropractic as a career. After getting adjusted myself and having my allergies improve, I knew that chiropractic would not just be my career, but my lifestyle.

After completing my undergraduate studies at Ohio University, I completed four additional years of chiropractic training at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. I have been practicing in the Capital District since 2000 and joined the doctors of East Greenbush Chiropractic in June of 2009. Throughout my years as a doctor of chiropractic, I have developed a strong interest in both pediatric and family care. My goal is to improve and enhance the health of our community members through chiropractic care. I am currently a member of the New York Chiropractic Council, International Chiropractic Association and I am working on completing my studies to become a Certified Chiropractic Wellness Provider.

I currently reside in Guilderland, NY with my husband Steve, our beautiful daughter Ainslee, our dog and 3 cats! We love the outdoors and enjoy biking and hiking. In addition, I enjoy knitting and crafting in my free time.

The Doctor Asks some important questions of interest to East Greenbush residents - Chiropractor East Greenbush The Doctor Asks...

Can babies with colic be helped with chiropractic?
It's probably one of the times a parent feels the most helpless. But based on the research, chiropractic and colic relief appear to go hand in glove. With success rates in the mid-90% range, more and more East Greenbush parents are seeing a chiropractor. If you have a baby with colic learn how chiropractic may help.
How could chiropractic help a stomach problem?
Chiropractic works by locating and reducing areas of the spine compromising nerve communications between your brain and your body. If nerves to or from your stomach are irritated, your stomach won't work right. Chiropractors find the source of the interference, reduce it and allow your body to work as designed.
